Destiny infuse exotics4/7/2023 ![]() There are only a couple of exceptions to this rule, which I will go into more detail about in this guide’s Highlights section. ![]() There are a lot of factors to consider when judging an exotic weapon, but I am looking more at the overall performance of the gun rather than if it works in specific niche scenarios. However, there are always weird scenarios and metas popping up that may elevate a specific weapon above others. There are many cool weapons in Destiny 2, but a lot of them simply don’t cut it when you’re facing some of the toughest challenges available. Whether a weapon performs well or not in a normal story mission or when you’re running around the EDZ will not be factored. I am solely looking at Destiny‘s PVE endgame when judging where a specific weapon falls. Now that we have our tier list, it’s time we go over what each of these rankings actually mean. I will be solely focusing on Destiny 2‘s endgame content, such as raids or high-difficulty missions like Nightfalls, specific exotic quests, and Lost Sectors. Remember, you can pretty much use any exotic in normal PVE activities, such as Strikes or Dares of Eternity. We also consider seasonal mods and catalysts, as these can often have a dramatic impact on a weapon’s effectiveness. To alleviate this burden, I have put together a tier list of every single PVE exotic currently in the game so you know which ones you should be infusing and bringing with you into Destiny 2’s most difficult activities.Īuthor’s Note: Developer Bungie is constantly buffing and nerfing weapons each season, so a weapon’s ranking can change. This makes it critical to know which exotic weapons to hunt for or purchase from the Monument to Lost Lights in The Tower. This is only enhanced with exotic weapons, the rarest type of gear in Destiny 2, and items you can only have one of equipped at any time. Finally, speak to the Drifter once again and you'll recieve the Salvation's Grip. There are a lot of weapons in Destiny 2 and it can be pretty daunting to know which one you should bring into a raid or difficult activity. Afterwards, you need to talk to Drifter and embark on a special "Stealing Stasis" mission to steal the grenade launcher. Following this, you'll need to clear the Concealed Void Lost Sector and meet up with an associate of The Spider and the Drifter. After finishing it, the next step is to do some grinding by killing enemies with your Stasis abilities. Once that's done, the next step is to go talk to Variks and embark on an Empire Hunt mission. The first step of the quest is to defeat 10 Fallen Captains and Servitors on Europa. The Salvation's Grip is earned by completing a special quest for the Drifter that becomes available after you beat the Beyond Light campaign. ![]() You can also charge the grenades up to increase the number of crystals created and the radius of the freezing. Each grenade you shoot will create Stasis crystals at and around the point of impact, freezing targets. The Salvation's Grip grenade launcher is a Stasis-focused weapon. Once this is done, all that's left is to do a mission called "Reforging the Past." Talking to Banshee-44 after doing so will finally net you The Lament. After taking them to Banshee-44 in the Tower, you'll then need to find an abandoned bunker in the Eventide Ruins on Europa. After, you'll have to find pieces of The Lament blade in The Glassway Strike. The next step takes you back to kill more Vex specifically, 60 of them with finishers. You will then have to a quick Exo Challenge mission that involves some platforming. Following this, you'll be sent to finish the "Reclaiming Europa," "Empire's Fall," and "The Dark Priestess" missions. Afterwards, you'll need to kill 100 Vex with a sword, as well as 20 special Vex enemies like Minotaurs or Hydras. Then, you'll need to find a giant Exo hidden in an Exo facility. The first step will involve finding three dead Exos on Europa. The Lament sword quest is available from Banshee-44 in the Tower. Attacking while fully-revved will also heal you, which is helpful since using swords against strong enemies can be quite dangerous due to how close to them you have to be. This attack shreds through shielded enemies, which means it will be a stellar option against Barrier Champions during Nightfalls. Once it's fully revved up, you can unleash the blade's full power. The Lament sword features a special block that allows you to rev the chainsaw part of the blade. Source: Bungie (Image credit: Source: Bungie)
